Poverty in China

China is not one of the countries that has the most poverty, but
that doesn't mean that they don't have poverty. China is the biggest country in the world.
 At the time of 2008 they had as many as 1 billion people living in the country. Every country has poverty whether it's noticeable or not.

*In 1996, the birth rate in China was 34.11 per 1000 people. By 1998 it had dropped 16.03.

*Many people in China income is less than $1.25 per day.

*Between 1981-2005 poverty rate fell from 85% to 15% roughtly 600 million people

*Around 40 million farmers in China live under the poverty line

*A farmer is considered in poverty if they make less than 1196 yuan or 175 dollars annually.
